About IDRF
IDRF (International Development and Relief Foundation) is a registered Canadian non-profit organization, dedicated to empowering the disadvantaged people of the world through emergency relief and participatory development programs based on the Islamic principles of human dignity, self-reliance and social justice.
For the past 25 years, IDRF has been successfully implementing development and relief projects in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and the Americas. IDRF has supported those affected by wars and natural disasters, has aided regions of our world affected by grave poverty, illiteracy, injustice, and preventable diseases, and has also secured long-term sustainability for disadvantaged people around the world.
IDRF works with local partners to implement projects around the world. By working in partnership with international NGOs and grassroots organizations, IDRF’s projects are culturally sensitive, provide targeted assistance, and create a foundation for long-term sustainability. In addition, local partners allow IDRF to provide assistance in remote disadvantaged areas and to be more flexible in providing aid and funding in different parts of the world.
With the generous and ongoing support of donors, businesses, and organizations such as CIDA, IDRF continues to successfully carry out its mission to help disadvantaged people around the world.
