Fundraising Ideas

Here are a few things you can do to help raise money for kid in need:

Bake Sale

Everyone has a sweet tooth for treats!  Get your mommy, daddy, grandma, or another family member to help you bake some cookies, cakes, and other snacks. Then set up a stand at your school, soccer game, community centre, or on your street, and sell them to your family, friends, and team mates!

Sports Event

Are you a sports fan?  Why not organize a game of your favourite sport with your friends and family and ask them to give money to charity to play! Or why not speak to your coach about holding a charity game with your existing sports team?

Car Wash

Get some of your friends and family together, gather soap, sponges and lots of water, and spend the day washing cars for your neighbours.  Make signs to attract more customers.  What a great way to spend a summer day!

Lemonade Stand

Who doesn’t love a cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer day?  Make some lemonade, set up a stand at your school or on your street and sell it to your classmates, friends, family and neighbours.

Dress-Up or Goofy Hair Day

Pick a day that everyone in your class, community centre, or summer camp dresses up as something else, like on Halloween, or takes part in a goofy hair day.  Have anyone who participates make a donation.  You could even pick a theme, like super heroes or cartoon characters!

Garage Sale

Do you have old toys, books or games that you don’t use anymore?  Have a garage sale and see how much money you can raise for charity with your old things. Encourage everyone to make an additional donation to the program!

Freezie Day

Freezies are a great way to cool down when it’s hot outside.  Bring freezies to a sporting event, class, or summer camp, and sell them to your friends.  Be sure to speak to your teacher or camper leader before you arrange a freezie day and tell your friends in advance so they can bring money

Host a Party or Sleepover

Parties and sleepovers are always so much fun!  Have a party and ask the people who come to bring a donation for charity.  This is a great idea if you have a birthday coming up!
