Welcome to Rise-up.ca!IDRF is proud to announce the official launch of its RISE-UP! To End Poverty campaign and Kids Helping Kids program. RISE-UP! is a special IDRF 25 year anniversary initiative which aims to motivate Canadians to take action against poverty both online and in their local communities.
The United Nations has set a deadline of 2015 to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); IDRF is renewing its commitment and is enhancing its online presence to highlight the role its projects will play in meeting this objective. Read more... |

Fundraising with FUN! IDRF BBQ & WalkathonOn Sunday, June 21st, 2009, many families, friends, and supporters joined IDRF on Father’s Day in High Park, Toronto to participate in the organization’s annual BBQ and Walkathon. The perfect sunny morning served as a refreshing backdrop for participates who took part in the walkathon to raise funds for wounded, disabled, and orphaned children in Gaza, Palestine. The IDRF supported project aims to provide over 1,800 children with comprehensive care, assistive devices, rehabilitation services, and trauma counselling in order to help reintegrate them back into society. Apart from raising money for a great cause, the event also kicked-off the start of IDRF’s new Kids Helping Kids program, which aims to educate children about the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals and about helping children in need, both at home in Canada and abroad in Pakistan.
